It's only January, but Swizz Beatz already looks to be a lock for the 2015 Husband of the Year award. The hit-producer won big time on Sunday night when he threw his wife, Alicia Keys, a surprise birthday party inspired by the hip-hop favorite 1990 film "House Party."
"My husband surprised me with the craziest party ever!!!!!! Str8 out of the movie house party!!! He brought the party to me!! Come on'!! You remember this," Keys wrote, captioning an Instagram video last night.
Not only did Swizz invite the couple's closest friends, he also made sure the film's cast was in attendance too. 1990s rap duo and the film's stars Kid 'N Play made an appearance and performed, as well as Tisha Campbell and Adrienne-Joi Johnson.
The couple also took the party to another level when they showed up in matching 8-ball pajamas, a nod to the film's 1991 sequel, which was centered around a pajama party.
"Worlds best Patna, husband, BFF and party planner!!!! ( 2nd to me shhhhh don't tell him!!) Thank you soooo much my love @therealswizzz for loving me on a whole other stratosphere #mygreatestinspiration," Alicia wrote in another Instagram post.
Last year Keyz threw her husband a birthday party inspired by Eddie Murphy's 1998 comedy classic "Coming to America."
