Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, And More Lead The 2023 Grammy Nominations

See the list here

Beyoncé's Renaissance is more than just an album title. On Tuesday (November 15), she secured a whopping nine Grammy nominations, including the top honors of Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, plus a trio of R&B nods and a pair of nominations in the dance/electronic fields.

Kendrick Lamar follows her with eight noms, some of which are for his boundary-pushing video "The Heart Part 5." Adele likewise cleaned up, nabbing seven (alongside Brandi Carlile), and Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, Future, DJ Khaled, and The-Dream all secured six.

Taylor Swift, meanwhile, continues to make awards season inroads with her "All Too Well" short film, which has so far landed her a VMA for Video of the Year and most recently an EMA for Best Video. The update of her epic 2012 song racked up Grammy noms for Song of the Year and Best Music Video — and rumors have circulated that she may be angling for an Oscar nom as well.

Among some of the most notable changes to this year's ceremony are the addition of a Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical award — designed to recognize working writers for "their written excellence, profession, and art of songwriting," the Recording Academy revealed earlier this year — which found pop talents Amy Allen, Nija Charles, Tobias Jesso Jr., The-Dream, and Laura Veltz securing nominations.

Revisions to the Album of the Year category have also taken effect. For a release to eligible for consideration in that field, it must contain at least 75 percent of newly recorded material and must have been recorded in the past five years. This change was approved in 2021 but will be going into effect for the first time for the 2023 ceremony.

Last year's big winners included Silk Sonic, who claimed Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and reigning Best New Artist recipient Olivia Rodrigo.

Here's a sample of some of the biggest and most competitive categories. Find the full list on grammy.com.
