Joseph Gordon-Levitt Has A French Accent And A Very Dangerous Task In 'The Walk' Trailer

Not for those who are afraid of heights.

Great news for everyone who's been dying to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt don a wig and use a French accent to explain to you how desperate he is to walk on a wire between the Twin Towers (very): the first trailer for "The Walk" has hit the web.

Gordon-Levitt plays Philippe Petit, the legendary highwalker, in the movie, which is directed and written by Robert Zemeckis. It details Petit's infamous 1974 stunt in which he sought to freewalk on a wire between the two towers of the World Trade Center. Scared of heights? This one might not be for you. Oh, and it's in 3D. Super not the pick for you if heights aren't your jam.

"The Walk" was just announced as the opening night selection for the 2015 New York Film Festival. The screening in September will be its world premiere.

Check out the trailer below.

"The Walk" treads very carefully into theaters on October 2.
