San Francisco indie-rock quartet Creeper Lagoon are recording their
major-label debut with producer Jerry Harrison, according to the
band's management. Harrison, whose production credits include Live,
Violent Femmes and Crash Test Dummies, is a former member
of '70s avant-underground bands the Modern Lovers and Talking
Heads. The upcoming album, tentatively titled Take Back the Universe
and Give Me Yesterday, is slated for release by Dreamworks in spring
2000. It will feature the tracks "Cellophane," "Keep From Moving" and
"Green Mountain Fever." The band's most recent album, I Become Small
and Go, was released on Nickelbag Records in 1998.
