James Brown To Open Woodstock '99

"Godfather of Soul" James Brown will kick off Woodstock '99 at noon EDT Friday (July 23), organizers announced Thursday (July 22). The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and singer of such hits as "I Got You (I Feel Good)" joins a lineup of more than 40 other artists at the Rome, N.Y., show, including Sheryl Crow, DMX, Limp Bizkit, Jewel, Fatboy Slim, Willie Nelson and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The festival continues through Sunday.
