Fun Lovin' Criminals and Dangerman will join forces for a North American
club tour spotlighting Latin-influenced modern rock.
Fun Lovin' Criminals will headline the May and June outing in support of
their second album, 100% Colombian.
The 23-date tour kicks off in Ottawa before moving through the Midwest,
then to Western states before turning back east.
Dangerman have a minor hit with their Latin-flavored, summery single
(RealAudio excerpt) from their self-titled debut album. The cut was
inspired by a short walk through midtown New York, near the Port Authority bus terminal.
"We just had this totally intense, surrealistic experience where we saw
all these deals going down within the span of five minutes,"
drummer Dave Borla said recently.
"People are selling stereos off of trucks, drug deals going down and
everything else you can imagine," singer/guitarist Chris Scianni added.
Fun Lovin' Criminals had their first hit two years ago with "Scooby Snacks"
(RealAudio excerpt). The new album includes guest spots from blues
guitarist B.B. King and soul singer Barry White.
