MC5 Documentary Being Filmed
A feature-length documentary about the MC5, the early-'70s
Detroit radical punk band, is in the works. Surviving MC5 members
Michael Davis, Wayne Kramer and Dennis Thompson and
the band's close friends and family members have agreed to participate
in MC5 * A True Testimonial, according to the official website of
the film's production company, Future/Now Films (www.futurenowfilms.com).
Additionally, artists influenced by the band, including the Sex
Pistols' John Lydon, the Ramones' Joey Ramone
and the Dead Boys' Jimmy Zero, will lend their perspectives.
A theatrical release is planned.
