Celine Dion Discusses 'Titanic' Grammy Triumph

'My Heart Will Go On,' from soundtrack to hit movie, named Record of the Year, Song of the Year.

Having watched as "My Heart Will Go On" went on to win four Grammys Wednesday (Feb. 24) night, Canadian singer Celine Dion called her ubiquitous song from the Titanic soundtrack something more than just a hit record.

"It's an experience," Dion told reporters backstage. The song won two of the night's most coveted prizes: Record of the Year for Dion's performance of the song and Song of the Year for songwriters James Horner and Will Jennings.

The song also netted Dion a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Horner and Jennings another award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture or for Television.

"It's an incredible song, an incredible movie," Dion said. "It was popular last year, it's popular this year, and will be popular for years to come."

Asked who she would chose to sing with if she could pick anyone from the past, Dion revealed a desire to perform with the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley. She also confessed to being overwhelmed during a recent performance with singer Barbra Streisand.

"I kept looking at her like a groupie," Dion said.

Amid the industry hoopla, the singer also spoke about her work with children suffering from multiple sclerosis. She said the young people help her to stay grounded amid a world of flashy clothes and fancy cars. "This is reality," she said of the kids.

For now, Dion expressed her wish to leave the glitz behind. Among the items on the top of her to-do list are going home, cleaning her house and cooking her own meals.
