Internet-based music label GoodNoise (www.goodnoise.com) has teamed with the traditional indie-rock label spinART Records to begin offering spinART's catalog online in the controversial MP3 format. Fans of bands such as pop-rockers Apples In Stereo and the multi-faceted indie-rockers Dambuilders will soon be able to buy the groups' spinART work online -- by the full-length LP, for $8.99, or by the song, for 99 cents apiece -- and download it directly to their computers in the near-CD-quality MP3 format. Albums by Apples In Stereo, folk-pop artist Bill Fox, the British-Invasion-influenced Minders and the lounge-pop group Cinerama are already available at www.goodnoise.com; over the next several months, spinART's full catalog of 68 titles from 47 artists will be online.
