Book On Blues Legend Republished
Respected music-writer Peter Guralnick recently republished his 1989 book "Searching
for Robert Johnson" in paperback. The much-lauded volume traces the short life
of bluesman Johnson through accounts by contemporaries such as Johnny
Shines and Robert Jr. Lockwood. Johnson, who was poisoned in 1938 at
age 27, left behind a body of Delta-blues classics, including "Cross Road Blues" and
"Hellhound on My Trail."
