The staunch animal- and human-rights supporters in the hardcore band

Earth Crisis are using upcoming record-release events to

promote their favorite social causes. The band will collect canned goods

for a local food pantry during a Sept. 8 in-store appearance at Syracuse,

N.Y.'s Sound Garden, and a Sept. 18 record-release concert at

Syracuse's Lost Horizon will raise money for the Farm Sanctuary, a

haven for abused and injured farm animals. Earth Crisis' sixth album,

Breed the Killers, hits record stores Sept. 8.
