Jay Z Nabs Grammy Gold... Sippy Cup?

Last year Jay Z drank cognac from his Grammy Award, and now Blue Ivy will drink juice from hers.

Blue Ivy didn't make a cameo at the 2014 Grammy Awards with Jay Z and Beyoncé (like we were all not-so-secretly hoping for), but it's all good because daddy is bringing home a very special gift for her.

Beyoncé and Hov opened the show with a scintillating performance of "Drunk in Love," then got cozy in the front row to observe the rest. Somehow, the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration was bumped from the pre-telecast to the live show, and we'd like to think that Jay Z did a bit of strong-arming to make that happen.

The award is usually handed out early in the night, but with Jay Z nominated for two separate songs -- "Holy Grail" with Justin Timberlake and "Part II (On the Run)" with Beyonce -- it became an event this year. Jamie Foxx handed over the trophy to Jay Z for "Holy Grail," and Hov decided to show how much it meant to him, by dedicating it to baby Blue. An incredibly moving gesture, coupled with a slight shot at the Academy? Perhaps.

After thanking God, partially for the award, and a lot for placing Beyoncé, who he affectionately called a "beautiful light of a young lady" in his life, Jay dropped this gem: "I wanna tell Blue that, look -- daddy got a gold sippy cup for you!"

Queue the collective swoon.

If it wasn't bossy enough that last year Jay Z decided to sip D'USSE out of his award backstage, he really topped himself by giving us the image of little Blue casually sipping apple juice from a golden gramophone. No big deal.

Blue Ivy celebrated her 2nd birthday on January 7, and now she can go ahead and add a Grammy Award to her collection of toys.

Hopefully other nominees in the Best Rap/Sung category, such as J. Cole, appreciated the cute gesture as much as the Internet did.

How do you feel if you are Kendrick or Wiz or Cole waiting your whole life for a Grammy and Hov's using yours as his daughters sippy cup?
