Michael Keaton Will Always Be Batman, According To Michael Keaton

Ain't nobody going to take Batman away from Keaton. Not even Ben Affleck.

Being Batman isn't just about donning the suit and effecting a menacing voice. It's a state of mind, brah, and Michael Keaton's all in it.

Unlike Christian Bale, who "just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour" after finding out that Ben Affleck was taking over the role.

But Keaton, who starred in the 1989 film "Batman" and its 1992 follow-up "Batman Returns," has been real chill about the whole thing — probably because he knows once you go bat, you never go back.

"I'm Batman. I'm very secure in that," the actor stated in an interview with ShortList where he was asked point-blank if there was any jealousy about there being yet another caped crusader iteration out there in the world. "No," he said.

And why would he be? If he wasn't upset by the Dark Knight, surely there's no reason to be worried about the latest take on the caped crusader, slated to be revealed in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Right?

So take note, Bale — this is how you do it.
