Jagger, Clapton, More Added To Concert For New York Lineup

Marc Anthony, Billy Joel, Five for Fighting also join list of performers.

The lineup for the Concert for New York keeps growing, with old-guard superstars Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Billy Joel joining younger artists Marc Anthony and Five for Fighting as the latest additions.

Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi, the Who, Macy Gray, John Mellencamp and Goo Goo Dolls were confirmed last week for the show, which will air on VH1 live from Madison Square Garden on October 20 (see [article id="1449320"]"Paul McCartney Joining Bon Jovi, Macy Gray For New York Benefit"[/article]). Actors and comedians David Spade, Julia Stiles, Meg Ryan and Denis Leary also have been added to the lineup, which already includes Jim Carrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, John Cusack and Jerry Seinfeld.

The concert's organizers are still working out the details of what the musicians will perform during the four-hour show, according to a publicist for the event.

The event will raise money for the Twin Towers Fund, and the broadcast will display a phone number and Web address for people to make donations. Thousands of members of New York's fire department, police department and rescue crews are being invited to attend the show along with their families.
