Jesse Eisenberg Goes Bald As Lex Luthor: See The First Pic Of Superman's Nemesis

'He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure.'

In exactly one year from today, fans will finally get their chance to gaze upon "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the long developing showdown between two of the biggest titans in superhero history.

But Batman and Superman aren't the only DC Comics bigwigs showing up for the party. In fact, there's one guy in particular who could really use a big wig — the big, bald bad guy himself, Lex Luthor, played by "The Social Network" Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg.

We've speculated for a while that Eisenberg had actually shaved his head for the role of Superman's nemesis, and now, Entertainment Weekly has the proof, with the first official picture of Luthor. Take a look:

"He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure," director Zack Snyder says of the character, “other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course."

"Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake," he adds. "He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there."

There were many initial knee-jerk reactions to Eisenberg's casting as Lex Luthor, especially from the crowd hoping for an older, more seasoned-looking menace, like "Breaking Bad" veteran Bryan Cranston. We're still a long ways away from seeing Eisenberg's performance, but at least now we can judge the look. So, what do you think? Are you in on bald Eisenberg as Lex, or are you out?

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" flies into theaters on March 26, 2016.
