'The Dark Knight', 'Iron Man' Rock The Grammy Nominations

Yesterday, the nominees for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards were announced, and both "The Dark Knight" and "Iron Man" made the cut in the "Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media" catagory. For "The Dark Knight," composers James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmerare were nominated, and for "Iron Man," composer Ramin Djawadi got the nod.

Both films will face some stiff competition, going up against the legendary John Williams (for "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull"), Thomas Newman ("Wall-E"), and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, who generated quite a bit of buzz for his work on "There Will Be Blood." The awards ceremony will be taped on February 8, 2009 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
