Kanye West’s “Facts” definitely had people talking, but Yeezy didn’t like everything being said. So before dropping his new “Real Friends” cut on Friday (Jan. 8), Ye clarified set the record straight on his previous track.

"The media tried to make it seem like I was downplaying LeBron on my song 'Facts,' which I would never do,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet, according to Bleacher Report. "LeBron is fam bottom line.”

On the song — which has been called a Nike dis track — Yeezy raps about James’ relationship with the popular brand.

"Nike treat employees just like slaves,” he raps. "Gave LeBron a billi' not to run away."

This was in the wake of LeBron inking a lifetime deal with Nike, which some have estimated to be worth close to $1 billion. James was asked for his thoughts on the track by ESPN earlier this week.

"I haven’t really listened to it," told ESPN earlier this week. “I heard about it but I haven’t listened to it. Obviously I’m going to side with Nike no matter who it is. It’s just, it’s family when you talk about Nike, and I’m always on their side no matter what the situation is. We don’t look upon nobody on our side, we just try to put the best athletes that we can out on the floor every night."

Kanye's rapped about LeBron favorably a number of times, including lyrics on "New God Flow" and "Gotta Have It."

As mentioned, Yeezus followed the tweet up with the release of "Real Friends." It's one of the first songs Ye's released in what seems like a weekly campaign leading up to his next album, Swish.
