VH1 Thinks You Oughta Know Tove Lo—And So Does Nick Jonas

Watch the rising Swedish pop star perform 'Habits (Stay High)' at VH1's annual You Oughta Know Concert.

IF you still haven't heard Tove Lo, you need to get on that right now. Tove is the latest pop star to emerge from Sweden's pristine pop-perfect landscape, and she's seriously on the rise. Think the punk of Charli XCX plus the sadness of Lykke Li and you've got Tove Lo—aka perfect.

Luckily, VH1 is already on the Tove Lo tip and chose her as one of their You Oughta Know artists, and she performed at the annual concert on Thursday (November 13) at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

Now, even if you think you don't know Tove, chances are you've heard her Billboard No. 1 pop hit "Habits (Stay High)." It's an earworm flash of partying memories, but the twist is she's not living it up out of joy, but a need to forget her lost love. The song's gut-wrenching underpinnings don't stop it from being the perfect turn up anthem though, and even when she stripped it down on Thursday the song has a certain rhythm to it that will get you moving.

Also when he introduces her, Nick Jonas calls her "his friend"—a pretty high compliment for a fellow pop star! Watch below and notice that she's performing barefoot—no diva qualms here.
