Why Didn't Instagram Take Down Justin Bieber's Butt Photo?

They clearly state no 'close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.'

I hope you all took a screen shot, because Justin Bieber's bare butt is no longer on Instagram.

A week after he told everyone to "look" at his bum -- and be honest, you did several times -- he has decided to delete his meme-inducing picture, not because it was "bad" but because he momentarily forgot there are "littles" following him.

"Hey I Deleted the photo of my butt on Instagram not because I thought it was bad but someone close to me's daughter follows me and she was embarrassed that she saw my butt and I totally wasn't thinking in that aspect," Justin captioned the pic below. "And I felt awful that she felt bad. To anyone I may have offended I'm so sorry. It was completely pure hearted as a joke but didn't take in account there are littles following me!!! Love u guys."

But here's a question: Why wasn't Justin's picture taken down by Instagram shortly after it was posted? Chrissy Teigen's "nipple has been temporarily silenced" after she posted a topless shot, and Miley Cyrus, Scout Willis, Rihanna and many more have been in a constant fight to #FreeTheNipple on the social media site.

Sure, those are all about nipples, but according to Instagram's community guidelines, naked butts are off the table as well.

"We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram," the guidelines state. "This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks."

Well, MTV News reached out to Instagram to find out why Justin's cheeky picture managed to slip through the crack.

"I don’t have a comment for you," Instagram's press team said. "But you’d be correct in assuming that since we did not take the photo down, it does not violate our community guidelines."

Guess it wasn't close enough for their dis-like.
