Camila Cabello Quits Fifth Harmony

This is One Direction all over again

The day feared by Harmonizers around the globe has come: Fifth Harmony is down to four.

In a note shared on the group's official social media outlets, Fifth Harmony announced early Monday morning (December 19) that Camila Cabello has quit the band.

"After four and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony," reads the note, which was signed by Ally, Normani, Dinah, and Lauren. "We wish her well."

As sad and shocking as the news may be, it doesn't mean the end of Fifth Harmony. The rest of the gang will be soldiering on with a slightly more ill-fitting name than before, just like One Direction did when Zayn decided to go his own way. (Well, hopefully not just like that.)

"We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors," the band wrote. "Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our hearts."
