Even Supergirl Gets Nervous In Front Of The Other Superheroes In The CW’s Crossover Event

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Oh wait — that’s just Supergirl not-so-gracefully flying into action

It's a truth universally acknowledged in the Arrowverse that Kara Danvers, a.k.a. Supergirl, is the most powerful superhero in The CW's lineup. (Sorry, Ollie — you know it's true.) But that doesn't mean star Melissa Benoist has completely mastered the power of flight.

Tonight (November 28), Supergirl kicks off a four-night crossover event that will bring together all of the DC superheroes for a Heroes vs. Aliens showdown that will see the Arrowverse battling their toughest opponents yet: The Dominators. For Benoist, perhaps the most exciting part of the crossover — aside from being in a room full of iconic superheroes — was getting to fly in front of Team Arrow, Team Flash, and the Legends of Tomorrow.

"There were a few really awkward attempts, so I did kind of fall on my butt a little bit in front of everyone, but it was fun," she said in a behind-the-scenes featurette. "It was a supportive atmosphere." (Hey, those superhero landings are harder than they look.)

And no one was more supportive of Kara than Barry Allen, who was on hand to introduce Supergirl to his superpowered buddies. We can't wait to see Sara Lance's face when she sees Supergirl fly into action for the first time; she's going to be so turned on.
