For far too long, Hufflepuffs have been victimized by the other houses. We’ve been called boring. Disposable. Average. A lot o’ duffers (thanks, Hagrid). A throwaway house. Sure, our defining traits aren’t very conspicuous: Gryffindors are known for their valor; Ravenclaws, their intelligence; Slytherins are ambitious; and Hufflepuffs, well, we’re the nice guys.

But what’s so wrong with being nice? Nothing, that’s what. Eddie Redmayne, proud Hufflepuff and star of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has a public service announcement for all you Hufflepuffs and haters alike. Never again will a Puff feel lesser than because of their house. We’re fierce friends! Strong (in numbers)! Reliable! Not to mention, we’re trustworthy and hardworking AF. And at the end of the day, we’re not in it for the glory — but rather for the greater good.

The Age of Hufflepuff is upon us, so it’s time for us badgers to rise up and stand tall. We may never be the ~ cool ~ ones, but we are J.K. Rowling’s favorite house — and that’s got to stand for something.
