Desiigner’s Gun Charge Was Dropped Following His NYC Arrest

The rapper still faces two charges related to a road rage incident in NYC

A day after he was arrested following a road rage incident in New York, two of the charges filed against Desiigner were dropped by the time he left Manhattan Criminal Court on September 10.

Desiigner was initially brought in on drug and weapons charges after the driver of a vehicle involved in the September 9 incident told the police that the “Panda” rapper had pointed a gun during the altercation. When the authorities located the SUV Desiigner was traveling in, they searched the vehicle and encountered drugs, which lead to Desiigner being formally charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and third-degree menacing. The four people who were with him in the SUV were arrested and charged as well.

Now, the weapons and drug charges have been dropped: The authorities shared with TMZ that their search of the vehicle didn’t turn up a gun, thus nixing the charge anchored on the witness’s account, and the charge for criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell was also dropped.

He still faces two charges, one each for menacing and criminal possession of a controlled substance, but was in high spirits upon leaving the courthouse.
