Rae Sremmurd And Lil Jon Throw A Party For The Ages In 'Set The Roof'

Did you expect anything less?

Rae Sremmurd are, in some ways, an extension of Lil Jon: Like he began to do prominently a little more than a decade ago, they're able to consistently deliver boisterous, fun party anthems that turn into hits while helping you let loose.

The latest contender finds the duo bridging the turn-up generational gap, uniting with Jon for the Mike Will Made It- and DJ Mustard-produced “Set the Roof.” The video depicts the kind of over-the-top, X-rated night of revelry and celebration that we’ve come to expect from the brothers Sremm. And it is, according to a message at the beginning of the video, “based on real events.” Listening to stories from these two, like the ones they recently told on The Breakfast Club, it’s not tough to imagine that this is, indeed, art imitating life.

The Mississippi natives will be dropping their sophomore album, SremmLife 2, which is set to include “Set the Roof,” “By Chance,” and “Look Alive,” this Friday (August 12).
