There Was A Mini 'Hoot' Reunion 10 Years After The Film Premiered

San Diego Comic-Con is where dreams are made

Earlier this year, the family comedy Hoot turned a decade old, which means it’s been 10 years since we first saw Logan Lerman, Brie Larson, and Cody Linley fight against corrupt CEO Clark Gregg, trying to save endangered owls from losing their home.

During San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, two of the film’s stars had an impromptu reunion while promoting their recent projects. Linley, who played juvenile delinquent Napoleon Bridger “Mullet Fingers” Leep, met up with Gregg, a.k.a. evil Chuck Muckle, on Sunday (July 24). The two actors haven’t seen each other in a decade.

Gregg retweeted Linley’s pic, adding a “Wasssuupppp!” comment for good measure. Linley was doing press for his upcoming movie, Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens, which premieres on Syfy on July 31. Meanwhile, Gregg was at SDCC talking about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Season 4, which begins September 20.

It’s too bad neither Lerman nor Larson were there for a quick reunion, but Linley did tell MTV News back in March how stoked he was about Larson’s win for Best Actress at the Oscars earlier this year. “I was super happy for her. I was totally proud. I knew that she was talented and I knew that she was always super sweet,” Linley said. “I saw her in Room and I thought she did a phenomenal job, and yeah, I’m so excited to see where her future leads her.”

Happy (belated) 10th anniversary, Hoot!
