Justin Bieber Honored Victims Of The Pulse Shooting At His Orlando Concert

He dedicated ‘Purpose’ to the victims — and Christina Grimmie

Justin Bieber made a special tribute to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting during his concert in Orlando last night (June 30).

After news of the tragedy spread last month, Bieber confirmed that he would not be canceling his scheduled Orlando tour stop. "I stand with Orlando in support,” he wrote on Twitter.

He delivered on that promise with a touching tribute to all those who lost their lives in the mass shooting. While Bieber sat on the stage and sang “Purpose,” the names of the victims scrolled by slowly on the stage’s big screen.

At the end of the list was Christina Grimmie, who passed away the same weekend as the Pulse shooting after being shot by a fan at a meet and greet.

Bieber urged fans to be proud of who they are, projecting the hashtag “#OrlandoStrong” on the screen behind him. It was a solemn tribute to a tragic event, but the overarching message was one of hope and resilience.
