'Nothing Is Promised' proves that a fool and Rihanna's money are soon parted
Everything’s coming up Rihanna this summer.
Shortly after dropping a new single with Calvin Harris and an EP of “Kiss It Better” remixes, Rihanna has teamed up with Mike Will Made It for the dark, percussive “Nothing Is Promised."
On the duo’s joint single, Rihanna muses on the ephemerality of fame. “Ain’t none of this promised,” she notes at the chorus. She also sings the incredibly tweetable lines, "I love you, money. Imma wake up and just hug this money."
Hug your money when you’ve got it, because, like Rihanna says, nothing on this earth is guaranteed.
“Nothing Is Promised” will appear on Mike Will Made It’s forthcoming album, Ransom 2, due out later this year.
