Meghan Trainor Demands Respect (And Free Drinks) On New Single ‘Me Too’

Get a taste of the VIP life

On “No,” the first single from her upcoming sophomore album, Meghan Trainor was all about putting a hammy wannabe suitor in his place. Now, on her second single, the 22-year-old’s stripping away the layers of her unabashed confidence, revealing it simply comes from a place of bonafide swagger.

“I thank God every day that I woke up feeling this way / And I can’t help loving myself,” Trainor sings on “Me Too,” before repeating, “If I was you, I’d wanna be me too.” She also brags a lot about how she goes straight to VIP at the club and never pays for her drinks ... so while it might not be totally relatable for everyone, its dance-friendly beat will at least have you on your feet.

On Wednesday night, Trainor also shared what appears to be a screenshot from the “Me Too” music video, which she promised is “coming soon.”

Trianor’s upcoming album Thank You releases on May 13 and also includes recently released tracks “Mom,” “Better,” "Watch Me Do," and “I Love Me.”
