Marvel's The Punisher Is Officially Getting His Own TV Series

Because you know you wanted to see Frank Castle fracture more skulls with his bare hands

Fresh off his scene-stealing stint in Daredevil's second season, Marvel's The Punisher is officially getting his own TV series.

Marvel and Netflix have ordered a spin-off starring the lethal vigilante, reports EW. Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle, the divisive Marvel antihero known for his penchant for bloodshed, brutality, and heavy artillery. So if you want to watch The Punisher fracture even more skulls with the brute force of his bloody knuckles (in graphic detail), you're in luck!

The Punisher is a hard pill to swallow. His particular brand of justice and bloodthirsty approach to vigilantism isn't for everyone, but Bernthal's performance in Daredevil was far more nuanced than bullets and brutality. He exposed Frank's damage -- mental, physical, personal -- and his story is far from over.
