On May 31, 2006, The Hills premiered, improving our lives and providing us with reaction GIFs for all eternity. A mere four days later, our new best friends, Lauren, Heidi, Audrina, and Whitney, made their red carpet debut together at the MTV Movie Awards.

We didn't know how good we had it then, but we do now, which is why it's important we pay our respects to their first — and one of very few — joint appearances.

The ladies didn't strive for coordination, but did manage to remind new fans of their different personalities via their personal style. Between Audrina's colorful maxi dress, Heidi's strapless number, Whitney's printed mini, and Lauren's slip, it was clear that no two Hills cast members were alike.

We could've taken this moment as foreshadowing for the future, but alas — we were enjoying Lauren's new life in L.A. way too much.
