Hey guys, remember "Kung Fu Panda"? It seems like an eternity ago, but it's actually only been two years since "Kung Fu Panda 2" hit theaters. But even though it made a pretty tidy sum at the box office ($165.2 million domestically, thank you), the movie more or less vanished from public consciousness, getting lost somewhere between the fourth "Ice Age" and the third "Madagascar." They all kind of blend together after awhile, right?
Well, that's about to change, as according to Variety, DreamWorks Animation has decided to make sure "Kung Fu Panda 3" is the most memorable entry in the franchise yet by signing on a star you can't possibly forget or overlook: Rebel Wilson.
Wilson isn't the only big name joining the cast of "Kung Fu Panda 3," which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 23, 2015. Besides returning stars Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, "Kung Fu Panda" has also added the singular talents of "Breaking Bad's" Bryan Cranston as well as Mads Mikkelsen, who is currently playing iconic cannibal killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter on the TV series "Hannibal."
Which... actually, that sounds kind of scary and creepy. We hesitate to even guess what menaces Po and company will be fighting this time around — a meth smoking, face eating giraffe? But we do know one thing: With Wilson on board, chances are pretty good that the film will be at least somewhat awesome.
And totally unforgettable.
