8-Year-Old Leukemia Patient Talks Batman with Batman
Christian Bale may have hung up his cape and cowl, but he is and forever will be Batman to a lot of people. And the star seems to be taking that seriously as he engages in some pretty superheroic acts in real life.
Eight-year-old leukemia patient Zach Guillot was able to talk about his favorite superhero with none other than his favorite superhero when Bale called him on the phone to have a chat about the Bat. Zach talked about his own Batman costume and cardboard Batmobile, to which Bale responded:
"The whole point of the movie is anybody can be Batman. Anybody can be as strong as that and help people and put good out into the world."
Bale and Zach enjoyed a lengthy conversation, of which Bale promised to tell "the lady who plays Catwoman" (Anne Hathaway) even "the man who played the evil Bane" (Tom Hardy).
This seems to be a completely different Christian Bale than the lunatic who threw an infamous temper tantrum on the set of "Terminator Salvation." Last year, he paid for a four-year-old leukemia patient to meet him at Disneyland and this past summer he made an appearance at a Colorado hospital to visit several of the people who were injured in the Aurora theater shooting.
