President Obama's Dream Running Mate: Catwoman

With the presidential election heating up it's only natural for the candidates to begin delivering more politically charged rhetoric. After all, not only do they need to get their voting base pumped up, they also need to make headlines in order to stay on top of the ever changing news cycle.

Still, even with that being the case, today's news is a shocker: According to E! Online, President Barack Obama has given his personal endorsement to one of the world's most notorious thieves, the self-proclaimed modern day Robin Hood known only as Catwoman.

Guess the president really took this whole 99% thing to heart after all.

Of course, Occupy Gotham did have one thing going for it that the rest of the movement didn't, namely Anne Hathaway in a skintight black leather cat suit. So in that sense, it's no real surprise that President Obama had some kind words for Catwoman at a campaign fundraiser last night, especially since Hathaway was one of the high profile guests in attendance.

"I got a chance to see 'Batman,' and she was the best thing in it," Obama said. "That's just my personal opinion." He added that he thought Hathaway's portrayal of iconic cat burglar Selena Kyle was "spectacular."

President Obama wasn't just giving out compliments, though, he was also receiving them, as fundraiser host Harvey Weinstein heaped praise on the president for his response to the deadly shootings in Aurora, Colorado that left 12 people dead during a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises."

"Recently in Aurora, we saw him put his arms around the people that needed him the most," Weinstein said. "You can make the case that he's the Paul Newman of American presidents."

Paul Newman and Catwoman? Now there's a ticket we could endorse.
