Hillary Clinton Turns Down Jason Segel's Big Screen Offer

While most people would assume that Hillary Clinton would have tons of time on her hands with her menial job as Secretary of State, it turns out she's a pretty busy lady, a fact Jason Segel had to learn the hard way.

The "Five-Year Engagement" star told Us Weekly of the former First Lady, "I just feel like she would be good at comedy. I think you can feel it from a mile away."

Despite the actor's praise of Clinton, including his long running joke that she is the unseen matriarch on his hit show, "How I Met Your Mother," it looks like Hillary won't come on board for "Sarah Marshall 2: This Time It's Personal."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clinton caught wind of Segel's praise and, like any woman trying to keep from falling prey to the actor's charms, declined his invitation.

Clinton wrote to the star, "I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall ... again. My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career."

Fortunately for Segel, Condoleezza Rice's schedule is wide open these days.
