Celebrity weddings are usually the subject of endless tabloid fodder and constant, invasive attention. But last year, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis managed to pull off the impossible when they executed a super secret ceremony. That left all of us speculating about what really went down at the former That ‘70s Show costars’ nuptials, but now Kutcher has come through with more details about their big day, revealing the extraordinary lengths they went to in order to keep it on the DL.

“It was a ninja effort,” the actor said during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Wednesday. “We really didn’t want helicopters at our wedding and it’s a legitimate concern.”

In fact, Kutcher said he tried to keep the paparazzi off their tails by leaving fake clues on social media, because of the possibility of overhead helicoper madness.

“I was, like, posting things on social media that were in different locations to avoid it,” he said. “We didn’t want to be screaming our vows at each other and being like, ‘Forever! Did you say never?’ We went really under the radar with it.”

Kutcher and Kunis tied the knot in July at The Secret Garden at Parrish Ranch in Oak Glen, California. Since pulling off that impressive feat, they’ve been happily focused on another mission: keeping their 17-month-old daughter, Wyatt, out of harm’s way.

“The first year you spend trying to keep them alive,” Kutcher said. “And then after that you actually hit a point where your job is to keep them from killing themselves.

“She tries to kill herself on a regular basis,” he continued. “Like, she doesn’t realize that’s a cliff and could be dangerous. She’ll just jump off the thing. She doesn’t know yet. You would think that they would come with instincts around fire and large falls, and they don’t.”

Kids will be kids… but at least we know she has the craftiest and most cunning parents looking out for her.
