Hailee Steinfeld And DNCE Team Up For Punchy Power Ballad ‘Rock Bottom’

You'll want to sing this one very, very loudly.

Following the breakout success of her debut single “Love Myself,” Hailee Steinfeld is back with another taste of her promising pop potential -- and this time, she has a little help from Joe Jonas and Co.

On Friday, the 19-year-old released a revamped version of “Rock Bottom,” from last year’s Haiz EP, featuring Jonas’ band DNCE. Rather than reinvent the punchy power ballad entirely, Jonas takes the second verse and the rest of the band chimes in on the bombastic chorus. The new track comes with an accompanying lyric video, so you can easily learn the words and shout them in your car at an ear-shattering decibel, as we can only imagine Hailee intended.

Thankfully, it looks like this may not be the only Hailee/DNCE collaboration in the works. After announcing on Twitter that they had finished filming the song’s music video yesterday, Hailee wrote that she was rehearsing with the band for “something special” coming up.

She and DNCE will reportedly perform “Rock Bottom” for the first time live on Good Morning America’s post-Oscars show on Monday, Feb. 29. Is that the “something special” she’s referring to? Or is it something else entirely? Oh, the possibilities!
