The Internet Has Lost Its Damn Mind Over This Giant Spider Someone Found In Their Salad

...at least the salad is really fresh?

It's a fact: Australia doesn't mess around. Whether it's losing an eye to a bird called a magpie or finding a python has boarded a flight with you (chillin' on the wing), Australians must have a hearty temperament to continue living there.

Take what one woman found in her bag of salad in the Australian city of Sydney, for instance.

Zoe Perry shared the terrifying incident on Facebook: after shopping at Australian supermarket Woolworths, Perry's mother found an enormous huntsman spider crawling around inside a bag of "Italian Style Salad Mix."

? ? ? I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure spiders aren't really a part of Italian cuisine.

For their part, Woolworths told Mashable in an emailed statement that they'll be sending a food quality expert to their packaging facility to "minimize the chance of it happening again," which is good, because once giant spider in your lettuce is enough for a lifetime.

Since posting their brush with the eight-legged beast, their video has gone viral, amassing more than 5.5 million views in a single day.

Watch 7 seconds of abject horror below.
