A Massive Fire Is Engulfing A Skyscraper In Dubai
The fire erupted just as the city's New Year's Eve celebrations were beginning.
A massive fire has broken out at the Address Hotel in downtown Dubai, causing chaos in the surrounding area as people reportedly run for safety.
According to Metro UK, the cause of the fire is unknown, but the blaze "ran up at least 20 stories of the building near the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper. Burning debris rained down from the building as firetrucks raced to the scene."
Metro UK also reports that it is not currently clear whether anyone has been wounded in the fire. The 63-story building was evacuated, according to CNN.
