Beyoncé Might Star In A Bradley Cooper Film

'A Star Is Born' will be Cooper's feature directorial debut.

This post has been updated since December 13, 2015.

It's been six years since we've seen Beyoncé grace theater screens, starring in the romantic-turned-stalking thriller "Obsessed" in 2009. Since then, we've seen her featured in Lady Gaga's music video "Telephone" and heard her voice as Queen Tara in the movie "Epic." Furthermore, she and husband Jay Z starred together in "Bang Bang," a trilogy of short films about two American outlaws.

Besides her flawless music career — today (Dec. 13) is actually the two-year anniversary of her surprise fifth album Beyoncé — we haven't seen Queen Bey in actress mode for quite some time. Hopefully, that's all about to change.

According to Page Six, Beyoncé is set to star in Bradley Cooper's feature directorial debut "A Star Is Born," the third remake of the classic film.

"A Star Is Born" originated in 1937, then remade in 1954 and later in 1976. It tells the story of Norman Maine, a film star who helps budding singer and actress Vicki Lester/Esther Blodgett rise to fame. Bey would obviously play female lead Vicki, but Entertainment Tonight reports the male lead hasn't officially been cast yet. Cooper and Leonardo Dicaprio are two actors in talks for the role, but it's all still talk right now; nothing is set in stone.

So, until we get confirmation from Queen Bey herself, we'll anxiously wait for any further news by rewatching her belt it out in "Dreamgirls."

Update: According to E! Online, Cooper said this claim was simply a rumor and revealed he hasn't spoken with the "Crazy in Love" singer about the film, but would love to work with her.
