Jon Stewart And Stephen Colbert Had A Surprise 'Late Show' Reunion

Stewart crashed the 'Late Show' host's monologue for an important cause.

If you needed a reminder that Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are the sweetest bro-friends ever, this moment from last night's "Late Show" monologue is a super heartwarming one.

Stewart made a surprise appearance on the stage while Colbert was talking about that whole Donald Trump/bald eagle debacle, and got not only an open-armed welcome from his friend, but a standing ovation from the studio audience.

The former "Daily Show" host wasn't just there to visit his BFF at work, though; his appearance was part of an ongoing campaign to raise awareness for the Zadroga Act, which provides health benefits for 9/11 first responders (many of whom suffer from continuing medical issues related to their work at Ground Zero in the months after the attack.)

Fortunately for Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert was happy not only to hand over his platform for this important message, but also to coach Jon in the art of delivering it in an attention-getting manner.

Obviously, that meant "bringing the Trump" -- with a hideous hairpiece and a facial coating of magic Cheeto dust.

Watch the Stewart-Colbert reunion (and Jon's passionate exhortation to tweet your Congressman in support of the Zadroga Act) below.
