Former Stone Temple Pilots Singer Scott Weiland Dead At 48
Scott Weiland, former singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, has died at the age of 48, according to multiple reports.
At 12:01 p.m. ET Friday (Dec. 4) Dave Navarro tweeted the news.
Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight.

Weiland's wife, Jamie Weiland, confirmed his death to The Los Angeles Times, saying, "I can’t deal with this right now... it’s true.”
TMZ reports that Weiland, known for his long struggles with substance abuse, was found dead on his tour bus late Thursday (Dec. 3), just before his latest band Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts was set to play in Minnesota. At this point, his cause of death is still unknown.
