"[Laughs] We did not hire James Spader to do a robot voice."

That's Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige speaking to The Huffington Post about casting the "Less Than Zero" and "The Practice" star as the titular villain in 2015's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," where Feige says that fans should expect more than just the actor's voice being used in the sequel.

Feige says director Joss Whedon plans to employ both face and performance capture in the film, which sees Hank Pym's android creation unleashed upon the Marvel cinematic universe. Feige again:

Ultron in the comics is a robot, but what's cool about him in the comics -- and certainly how Joss Whedon is interpreting him for the movie -- is that he is much more than just a robot. That he's infused with much character.

Our best guess? We'll be seeing more than one form of the notoriously protean Ultron in "Avengers 2." While the San Diego Comic-Con teaser showed his classic, comics-inspired look, perhaps that won't be the final form of the villain in the movie. Or, more interesting, maybe "Age of Ultron" will take a page from Bendis' "Mighty Avengers" arc, "The Ultron Initiative" which saw the villain taking on the form of (at least initially) Janet Van Dyne AKA the Wasp. Could we see something similar here?
