During the red carpet beforehand, it was great to chop it up with so many of the presenters and performers. Was Katy Perry really flirting with me? We had a really playful conversation where she started off interviewing me. That pink dress was cute. Don't hurt 'em.

Taylor Swift was fun as well. My prime moment was pulling a trick on her and telling her I was nominated for a Grammy this year.

The homie David Banner arrived, and a smile came across my face. Me and Banner go back a long way, so when we speak, there's no telling how long we'll chop it up. On the carpet, he gave plenty of food for thought and actually inspired some ideas for some of my future efforts to galvanize folks in my hometown.

Everybody was there. I'm still chuckling about my reference to the rap group Blood of Abraham while interviewing the director of "Juno." My brother Shaheem, you looked sharp. See you at L.A. Reid's party tomorrow.
