Will 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' Go Next Gen?

With the exception of "Killer Instinct," the next generation is looking a little thin on the fighting game front. However, a Brazilian classification authority listing for "Injustice: Gods Among Us" indicates that a Game of the Year Edition of the Netherrealm-developed fighter will be headed to the Xbox One and PS4 as well as to the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U.

The alternate universe fighting game was released back in April for current-gen consoles, and a Game of the Year Edition will likely bundle in the six post-release characters as well as the ton of costume packs.

Our own Clint Mize considered "Injustice" another hit for "Mortal Kombat" studio Netherrealm in his review:

"Injustice" has a little bit for every fighting fan and presents an energetic and frenetic game for newcomers and vets alike. Comic fans might have a little more invested but even if you're not into the cape and tights of the DC heroes you'll still have an excellent brawler to add to your library. NetherRealms Studios nails it once again and hopefully we'll see more "Injustice" down the line.
