Migos Rapper Offset Has Been Denied Bond After 6 Months In Jail

This was the ATL rapper's third attempt to be released.

Migos rapper Offset has been in jail since April, when all three members of the Atlanta rap group were arrested on drug and gun charges, and it doesn't seem like he'll be out anytime soon.

Quavo and Takeoff were released shortly after being arrested, but Offset was denied bond at the time, due to a previous felony conviction.

The 23-year-old rapper, born Kiari Cephus, was already facing several charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and carrying a weapon in a school safety zone, and in May he was reportedly involved in a jail altercation, which earned him more charges for battery and riot in a penal institution.

According to the Statesboro Herald, during an Oct. 9 hearing, Bulloch County Superior Court Judge John R. "Robbie" Turner denied his bond for the third time.

There's been no update on when he will potentially be sent to trial or released, and this sounds eerily similar to Bobby Shmurda's current situation.

The Brooklyn rapper has been held at the Rikers Island jail, in New York, since his December 2014 arrest and has had his bail applications denied several times. His previous October trial date has also been delayed until 2016.
