Song Premiere: The Killers Can't Move On In Their New Breakup Anthem, 'Just Another Girl'

The Killers are having a rough breakup in "Just Another Girl."

"I can feel the cracks in my spirit starting to bust," The Killers' Brandon Flowers sings in the first verse of "Just Another Girl," a line that lets you know the title lady's anything but.

A song about trying to move on and not quite getting there, "Just Another Girl" finds Flowers getting good advice that he just can't take (ironic!). The band shows its sensitive side, staying acoustic for the chorus before synths maneuver over the track like the Blue Angels.

"Just Another Girl" blends bold New Wave with blue-collar Americana for the kind of anthem only The Killers could deliver, so it makes sense it's one of two new tracks on their first greatest hits album, Direct Hits, which lands Nov. 11 and has a title so good we can't believe Green Day didn't use it already.

"Just Another Girl" was produced by Killers vet Stuart Price, while M83 -- another anthem-master with a thing for the Reagan years -- worked on lead single "Shot at the Night."

The band will celebrate the release with a performance at the 2013 MTV EMA on Nov. 10 (airing at 7 p.m. ET), when they'll jet to Amsterdam to join fellow performers Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Bruno Mars, among others. Check out Killers.VH1.com for more.
