On Saturday (Sept. 26), Alessia Cara hit the stage in Las Vegas for the Life Is Beautiful Festival to perform her killer Four Pink Walls EP in full. But fans received an additional surprise when the R&B newcomer debuted a brand new, and wholly impressive track, "Scars To Your Beautiful."

"You should know you’re beautiful just the way you are," Cara sings on the empowering anthem, set to appear on her forthcoming debut album. Before debuting the track for fans, Cara also offered some wise-beyond-her-years advice.

“The standards that we have to kind of face as young women in everyday life just to feel, or look a certain way, or act a certain way, because there’s a lot of pressure being a young girl, and just girls and women in general,” she said. “So I wanted to make a reminder to just love yourself and appreciate yourself no matter what.”
