Sam Smith’s James Bond Theme Song Is The ‘Best Thing’ He’s Ever Written

Disclosure teases Sam's 'incredible' Bond track.

Sam Smith is about to hit us with a classic Bond song.

At least, that's what Disclosure thinks of the of upcoming "Spectre" theme song, "Writing's On The Wall" (September 24), and they would know, since they added some additional production to the track.

"We added a bit of electronic flavor to it," Disclosure's Howard Lawrence told us at the iHeart Radio Music Festival. "But the song was fully written, and Jimmy Napes, the producer of it, just asked us to add our touch to it."

Sam recently dropped a 15-second teaser to the track, and while we don't hear the brothers' EDM flare or Sam's voice, we do hear a grandiose sound coming from an orchestra giving us that "classic-sounding Bond theme" that Disclosure described it to be.

Disclosure, who have worked with Sam on "Latch" and their recent single, "Omen," revealed that they didn't put too much pressure on themselves since the song was already written when Sam and Napes sent it over, but promise they've "smashed it; it's an incredible song."

"I think Sam and Jimmy have written so many songs together, and with us, and I think it's probably the best thing they've written together. I think it's amazing" Guy Lawrence said. "And to have a brief as well, which we never do, to write a song for something, is probably quite out of their comfort zone because usually you just let it flow. They just nailed it on every account."

Did you read that? The "best" thing they've ever written. Let me remind you that Sam and his producer worked together on "Stay With Me," "I'm Not The Only One" and "Lay Me Down," so basically Disclosure are saying that this is EPIC. Count me in.
