Are T.I. And Iggy Azalea Done Working Together?

Tip explains.

Has the relationship between T.I. and Iggy Azalea come to an end? After a recent interview, it's still a little murky, but it sounds like, while they may still be involved business-wise, personally, they've taken some space.

"Iggy Azalea, you're still involved with that?" Ebro asked asked Tip on Hot 97.

"Sure," he responded.

But it sounds like he's not as hands on as he once was: "Personally, no [we haven't talked]," the rapper added.

When Tip spoke with MTV News on Wednesday, he also hinted that they weren't quite in constant communication. "Iggy is in the studio," he said. "She's traveling abroad, in the studio, working on her next project and planning a wedding. That's about all I know."

Speaking with Hot 97, he did seem to empathize with Iggy, who has taken a lot of heat and criticism in the time since "Fancy" and her other singles slowed down.

"In her defense, she had a lot thrown at her at one time," he said. "Any human being anywhere is gonna have a hard time adjusting.

"It's very difficult to be the new kid, and be the butt of the jokes, and be directed with all the negativity. It came at a time where culturally, in this nation -- which, she's not from here -- we were actually looking for somewhere to place some pent up aggression. [Iggy and her team] just kind of got it for no reason, in some cases. Some stuff they brought upon themselves. But in some cases it was the easiest place to put some pent up aggression."

Asked when he decided to walk away, Tip pointed to a specific moment: "After the Q-Tip thing," he said, referencing when Q-Tip posted a lengthy string of tidbits on Twitter, directed at Iggy, about hip-hop and its history. "Everything was cool and then they came back and undid what I did. It’s not that I got tired of cleaning it up. I’m loyal partner and If I rock with you I rock with you. Right or wrong. We’ll discuss that later in the car. But right now, I’ma block the bullets. Now when I say go, go. Just go. Don’t stand around and talk while I’m blocking bullets."

After Global Grind posted a story about the interview, Iggy reportedly responded in a since-deleted tweet.

“@GlobalGrind word? Could’ve sworn I was still in a publishing deal with him... but go head... you tell it,” she wrote.

So, it sounds like these two are still linked with some paperwork, but aren't exactly buddy-buddy right now.
