‘Hitman: Agent 47’: What Other Video Game Characters Would The Cast Love To Play?

We're all for it.

Even if you're not a big video game fan, you've probably heard of "Hitman" series. Since 2000, players have been able to assume the identity and iconic red tie of the mysterious Agent 47 to sneak around and complete stealth missions -- which, true to the franchise's title, usually involve killing somebody.

Now the series is getting a new film in the action-packed "Hitman: Agent 47," which stars Rupert Friend as the titular assassin alongside Hannah Ware and Zachary Quinto. But if they had their choice of video game-to-movie adaptations, which other iconic characters would they want to portray?

That's the question MTV News asked at this past weekend's "Hitman" junket, and surprisingly, the three co-stars didn't want another gritty, violent character to play -- they wanted to roll with the classics, like Link from "Legend of Zelda" and Luigi from "Super Mario Brothers."

"All I can think of is Sonic is Hedgehog," Rupert Friend said. "You could paint me blue and I could roll around in a ball. That sounds like a plan!"

"Hitman: Agent 47" hits theaters August 21.
